Terrain 2019 | Photography

These images are part of a diary of the changing light, colours and atmosphere at the Baer Art Centre in Northern Iceland where I was artist in residence in June 2017. It was the time of the summer solstice and the midnight sun kept me up and about many nights, despite the cold, with the camera. The black sand beach with its’ pools and reflections was a favorite spot to paint and to photograph. Storms would blow in and the mountains would seemingly dissolve in a veil of mist and rain into the fjord. A magical place.
