Seasons
I return to Sydney for my first exhibition at The Shop Gallery in Glebe, with a show highlighting seasons in time. My inspirations include nature, light and flux, as I interpret the landscape and render a suite of botanical paintings. The exhibition includes artworks created as resident artist at the Baer Art Center in Northern Iceland and at the Tweed Regional Gallery in Murwillumbah. The botanical studies sprang from the Covid lockdown where I focused on the flowers and foliage that could be found at home and on my walks to the Brisbane River. This broad body of work encompasses varying languages, media and approaches representing the breadth of my oeuvre over time. I am delighted that Seasons is included in the 2022 Sydney Fringe Festival.
